Inspired by two great cycling traditions – Strade Bianche and l’Eroica – Strade Bianche Boulder is a Gravel Gran Fondo on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend each year that combines Tuscan food and wine with Italian camaraderie and community. Strade Bianche Boulder features four cycling routes ranging from 13 – 80 miles. Enjoy Boulder County’s exceptional network of gravel roads, beautiful Front Range views, farmland and foothills.
All types of bicycles are welcome – from vintage to gravel and cyclocross to road and mountain. Our unique wave start means you can even choose your rollout time to align with riders of similar distance and pace. And, we hope you don’t need it but registration includes sag and mechanical support throughout the day.
After the scenic gravel roads and the camaraderie of fellow cyclists, the Tuscan menu will be a highlight of the day! Riders will enjoy everything from coffee and pastries at the start, to Ribollita soup, Crostini, Salame and Formaggio, homemade cakes with Nutella at the rest stops, and finally Lasagna, Tiramisu, and wine from Chianti for the Sagra post-ride lunch and festival.
